The first of our monthly open tournaments where we showcase a different format each month. January’s tournament is a $10 buy-in ($1 goes to IFPA and the rest goes to prize pool) 10 strike progressive tournament. The basic rules are if you win you match you get 0 strikes, 2nd place in your group is 1 strike, 3rd place in your group is 2 strikes and 4th place in your group is 3 strikes. Once you hit 10 strikes or more you are eliminated from the tournament. The last player remaining in the tournament is the winner. If multiple people are eliminated at same time the player with less strikes is the higher placement. If the strikes are the same for eliminated players it will be a tie, unless it is for a cash spot in which case a one game tiebreaker will be played to determine the higher finisher.
